Congratulations to
all the 5th grade graduates of the D.A.R,E program! With the
guidance of Corporal Marc Brunelle from the Bath Police Department students
were taught how to resist peer pressure and live productive, drug and
violence-free lives. Now it’s time for parents to hone their tips and
tools to keep kids safe! In anticipation of your child’s transition to
Middle School, the staff of Mid Coast Parents Connect (www.midcoastparentsconnect.org
), the parent campaign of Communities Against Substance Abuse (CASA), (www.midcoastcasa.org)
will be hosting a “Parent Social” in the Home Economics Room at the Bath Middle
School, to coincide with the 5th grade dance. We’ll be serving
FREE coffee and snacks (did someone say chocolate covered strawberries?)
and we’ll have a raffle drawing for Subway gift cards, as we recognize that
having a family dinner together is a great way to connect with your
child. We’ll also have info. on after school activities in Bath that your incoming 6th
grader might be interested in. So avoid extra driving and come by to see
us and meet new parents while your child dances the night away! FMI,
